Tom Smith, bekend als frontman van de Engelse indierockband Editors (zeven albums), brengt eind 2025 zijn eerste soloplaat uit: There Is Nothing In The Dark That Isn't There In The Light. Naast zijn werk met Editors maakte hij twee platen als duo Smith & Burrows met Andy Burrows (Razorlight). Smith zegt dat hij niet precies weet of het album folk-, country- of crooner-achtig wordt, maar dat hij altijd al de drang heeft gehad om droevige liedjes te schrijven — iets waarvoor zijn rijke bariton uitermate geschikt is.
